Batman was the first film i ever saw in a movie theater, it is very close to my heart.

personally, i love my hair now. much more than before.

i do nothing to my photos but resize, crop, or flip them. unless my name is on the photo, then i added my name via photobucket.

i do not believe in showing edited photos unless it clearly states where and how.

anyway, i really like the shelter here.
for the most part.
it is not set up the best, but i think it was just a house that was renovated into being a shelter.

but there it was.

i have only one photo of it, and that is this.

i was inside it cleaning the glass, and i literally could not have gotten out if i had wanted to without someone on the outside letting me out.

i have been doing this for a short while, now.
usually i just wrap them up and ship them to Aoi.
[obvi not now, he lives with me]
but as you should know, i have an obsession with food [mostly sweets] and phone charms.
so when my brother said he did not need his sculpie i took it.

i have made a number of things,
roses, a shadow heartless, hamburger, swirl poops... i think that is all actually.
ahahha
i have not really done much.
i only do it when i am really bored.

but i did a few things yesterday, and painted them today.

i made cookies, first. i have nothing to make texture or anything right now so it is all super boring.

then i made a cheese, i had no knifes to make straight cuts like it really would be.
so w/e

and i do not remember what these are called, w/eeeeeee
i like them.

Aoi likes them.
even though they are cheap as hell.

but he stills likes them, and when i make them for him.
i guess that is what counts.

nail glitter in MANY colors
many colors/sizes of nail gems [and heart shapped ones in black, and pink]

nail beads in silver and gold
nail art brushes, you can see the colors
and nail art glitter, meaning it is in shappes and stuff. like stars, hearts, just little lines. like sparkle confetti? yeah sure, in gold and silver.

i will open my shop soon- as soon as i figure out a way to paint the fake nails without them moving/getting paint all over my fingers.
so we will see.

with my hair this color there are- 4? i will list 4 main reasons i hate it.
[it is the best red color i have ever had, but the cons outweigh the pros]

1 - i avoid showering
this is disgusting, it grosses out Aoi and me. but i do /not/ want it to fade. so i avoid showering. then i forget to shower, since i usually do everyday. i forget the last time i showered, and sometimes go over a week without.

2 - it turns my nail designs red
i think i showed pix, but my silver/white/pearl gems/polish turns red

Oshare Kei :

what is it?

Ohshare Kei is a Japanese fashion based on being cute, vibrant, colorful and adorable. but it is no where near as annoying as Decora.

it is also a music genre, unlike most VK bands Oshare Kei bands sing about positive messages with upbeat tunes and bright PVs.

what it is not?

Lolita, Visual Kei, etc. Oshare Kei is its own style. do not call Oshare Kei people VK, they are a sub-version, do not call them Lolita, they are not. if they claim a Oshare Kei is Lolita they are just Ita's.

[Ita, coming from the Japanese word Itai meaning similar to "ouch" basically means "false Lolita" "bad Lolita" "wannabe Lolita" etc. i also noticed good Lolitas are called "Loli" and bad Lolita are called "ita". Loli-ita =Loliita - 1 i and it is Lolita but- that could just be a coincidence. i have never met anyone else who said that meant anything]

anyway, i love the Oshare Kei style. but i am just not the type of person who wears bright and colorful things- so i made my own style.

Gothic Oshare Kei.

it is just and fun and adorable and Oshare kei, just with a black and white [sometimes red or purple too. dark colors people!] color combination as well.

[i also wear "Sweet Gothic Lolita" meaning i buy outfits that were made for sweet but get them made in black and white :3]

WTF nail update

ahahah, i did something /weird/

first off, this is what my nails look like when the polish is removed.
or most of it, the grey tint is not there when they are fully cleaned. my nail polish remover is weak.

second, this is how the nail that had broken off is healing, or healed. i put a false nail over it. the | shows where the real nail is.

this is what it looked like when it was torn off, back in September.
the false nail was not the reason my nail was torn off, btw. it was because i was working in an animal shelter and being /really/ rough with my hands.

and lastly,
this is what i did to my nails.
i just kind... went.

they are really ugly, IMO. like, not ugly, but DANG

Products :
black nail polish,
pink sparkle nail polish,
white sparkle nail polish [it is the blue looking sparkles]
top coat,
silver sparkle design brush polish

two coats of the clear coat on your nails,
followed by two coats of black.
a single coat of the pink sparkles.
then cover a small bit with the black nail polish again.
fill in the black you just made with the white sparkles.
and outline the border.
then another two coats of clear.

i have been doing acrylic nails for years, but have never seen or had gel ones.
so i got informed.

Pros of Acrylic Nails

If you break an acrylic nail you can almost always fix it temporarily and rather easily yourself.
The removal process is simple and straightforward if done by a professional. The nails can be soaked rather than filed off.
Acrylics are very strong. When done correctly and good nail care is practiced, they can last a long time. They’re robust!

Pros of Gel Nails

Gel nails often look more natural and glossy than other types of cosmetic nails.
The curing time is faster than acrylics, sometimes clocking in at just two minutes when light-curing is done.
Gel nail mixtures are odorless.
There is less filing involved during the application process.

Cons of Acrylic Nails

They can damage your real nails in a harsher manner than gel nails can.
Acrylics can look fake instead of natural and they can look even worse when done incorrectly.
It can be hard to grow out acrylic nails.

Cons of Gel Nails

i am going to make a new tutorial tomorrow, because these nails keep turning pink.
i just dyed my hair a deeper red, and i tangle my hands in my hair when i sleep. so they keep turning pink.

trying to replicate this design is what actually taught me the french tip trick.
i accidentally made one too thick and was too lazy to fix it.

a really old design, one of my nails fell off at the shelter. it was not because of the fake nail, it was because i was being way to rough with them. do not do hard labor with nails this long.

today was amazing.

Aoi and i went shopping we looked really cute and i did not hate my hair even though it is ugly as poop.

i might make a tutorial on how to dye hair extensions. because it is kind of difficult. more so manic panic because everyone knows manic panic is a bitch.

DIY black/silver french tip tutorial

disclaimer, Charlotte Charm is NOT a professional. and has never taken any formal or informal classes on nail care or design. anything she says is purely opinion and NOT a fact. all techniques used were either made up by Charlotte Charm or learned by watching a professional.

and please remember, i am not bossy, my ideas are just better.

today, we are going to do my first tutorial.
[or my second, but we will never revisit the first~]

today, we are going to do a two colored french tip.
it takes as little as 10 minutes [without the dry time]

[the diamond belt is a little hard to see, but IRL it is not i promise. it is well worth adding! if you want it to pop more use a different colored gem. i should have used lilac :CCC]

i have had acrylic nails on and off since 9th grade, i would be in 12th grade now but i dropped out.
[shut up i have my GED]
and i am simply disgusted by how much they charge for designs that are so easy to do yourself.
granted you will spend 20$+ on design supplies, but if a french tip runs you 5$, and then a rhinestone is another 1$ per stone, it WILL add up.
a fill where i go is 15$, i am usually charged 20-25$ because of the designs i add.
[i come up with all my own designs, usually, i draw them and would have the nail techs do it. i do not like flower designs, nor do i know how to do them]

start off with perfectly manicured acrylic nails with a SINGLE color of your choice.
i chose black.

the reason acrylic nails > real nails is the color will not chip. ever. unless you are magically able to do the most dumb thing ever. acrylic nails will fall off from time to time, but not if you take proper care of them. were as ALL real nails chip. mine used to chip within the first few /hours/ of doing them.
same for my poor Mommy who got a manicure for the first time in a long time. did a little cooking and cleaning, and bam. ruined.

you will need only 5 things to do this,
two different colors of nail design paint.
the color you want your french tip to be
[this only works if the color is infused with sparkles. such as the silver i am using]
the color your nail is all ready painted.
[to cover up any mistakes you may or may not make]
top coat
[obvious reasons]
a mechanical pencil
[used to place gems, you can use a tooth pic]
and gems
[i have a full color wheel now O w O 10$ at Sally's Beauty Supply]

[for spasific product names please look at video description.]

as you can tell i have all ready done my right hand, i did them with my left. my dominate hand is my right hand. i did not have to use the black design polish to fix it.
go me.

start by drawing an X on your nails.

i learned this trick when i tried to replicate something my nail tech did for me before i started doing it myself. but i made the lines WAY to thick and saw that it was nearly a french tip.
so i just french tipped myself.
super easy and super adorable.

after you have the X, fill in the blank spaces and carefully draw the line for where the french tip starts. do not worry about messing up, you can cover minor flaws with the same color as your nail nail design brush. and for large mistakes- you can start over.
it is just nail polish.

do this to all nails, obvi.

i always do my thumb last because my thumb knocks into things the most.

to apply the gems place a healthy helping of clear nail polish to the area you wish to apply them, i chose to apply them as a belt dividing the two colors on my ring fingers.
take the pencil [make sure it has no lead] and rub it on the clear nail polishes brush, so it has some on it as well.
open your circle to the color of gems you want [i chose clear square ones] and place them.
i reapply clear nail polish half way through because it will not hold as well to tacky nail polish as fresh.
[if you do not know what i mean please just watch the video. it is hard to explain. it took me years of watching my nail techs to do this. and my gems still fall off sometimes when i do it myself]

when finished apply a large amount of clear nail polish to your nails.
the thicker the better, but also the thicker the longer it takes to dry.

wait at least 10 minutes to do anything [except type~] and TADA
amazing nails for .001% of the price.

ps, do not wear a long sleeved shirt when you do this.

yesterday was supposed to kick start /everything/

but it turned out to be one the worst days i have had in a really long time.

it started out fine, Aoi and i were late getting into GR but it did not really matter.
we had Burger King and enjoyed our time together because we have not been spending much of that lately.

i dropped him off at my mothers home so i could go do the things i needed to get done.
i did my nails, bought the stuff i needed for my hair and went to the post office.
and of course, my extensions had not arrived.
i was pissed.
because i do not go into GR that often and now i have to go again.
[well i have to anyway, you will see]
but Aoi's shirt had so i was not that angry.

by then it was too late for me to do my own hair so i just took Aoi to Becky's
[even though it is not really Becky's anymore. it is now managed by a girl name Terra. it is just a Hair Masters, btw]
on the way i told him how my extensions had not come and i was upset- and he got a little mad because i had not even told him i bought extensions. he hates hair extensions.
but we got over it because we love each other and that is just how true friends are.

after we got his hair done i did mine and we planned to go to the mall.
nope.

my muffler falls off at one end.
so i had to drive with it dragging for half an hour from Becky's to my mothers.
i have had anxiety about driving my entire life, i cannot drive past a truck or behind one without my heart racing. how do you think a broken and dragging muffler makes me feel?
[it was like 6pm right then]

so i called my mother to ask her what to do and she told me to call the repair shop.
all the repair men left at 6.

so i do the only thing i know to do and call my friend, who helps me put the muffler back on well enough that it wont drag. but the sound drove me to tears.

my mother said she would not come home to help me and was going to go to a basketball game instead.
at the time i did not really care- i knew she would help me when she got home.
so Aoi and i went to a movie with my friend.

we went to Daybreakers
it was terrible.

anyway, after my friend dropped Aoi and i off back at my mothers i went to talk to her.

she refused to help me.
it was 12am now.

all i asked was that i barrow her car for the night, not even a day, so i could feed my dog.
[imagine being locked in a room without reason and not being fed for 24 hours. that is what happened to my dog.]

i told her i would take her car out, then come back in the morning so she could go to work and everything. i just needed to get out there that night.

she refused.

[take note she bought a new car right after telling me i could not have a new USED car. because mine is "safe, well maintained, and reliable". this is the second repair i have NEEDED since i started using it. the first one cost nearly or over one thousand dollars. i do not remember which :3]

she told me to drive 45 minutes to Ferrysburg and back the next day-
instead of letting me take her car to Ferrysburg, get a little sleep, come back in the morning and let her go to work WITH HER CAR[not asking her to use mine even] and do what she needed to do then take my car to the shop and get it fixed.
[45 each way. more like 60 at how slow i did drive when i had to]
i just needed it for the night. literally the night.

i ended up leaving and attempting to drive my car and ended up in near tears on the road.
i knew i could not drive it so i drove as slow as physically possible to my fathers house.

not only did he let me barrow his car, but he got mine fixed.
i am going to pick it up later today.

i have always thought my dad was lazy and irresponsible, but at least he is there for me when i really need it.

by the time i got home it was 3:30am.

i have been going to bed at 9-11pm lately.

♡ Charlotte's guide to feet care ♡

so we all know, feet, not exactly the most pretty thing on the planet.
but i have a couple of tips and tricks to make them a little /less/ ugly.

now i am not the most rabid high heal wearer, but most [all] of my platforms have a heal. and cause a toe "bump" on the baby toe.
this is caused by two things,
the toe being crushed against the shoe and rubbing, causing the skin to be tougher so it does not get irritated.
and the fact that a lot of weight is pushed onto it.

those are really the same reason, but i made them two.

anyway, if you really do not like the toe bump you will simply have to stop wearing high heals and/or pointy toed shoes.
buy wide fit shoes, even if you do not have wide feet.
i do, and i wear regular shoes, so my toes are malformed.
ahahaha

another problem caused by high heals of pointy toed shoes is your toes go from normal

if you want to fix smooshed toes there are a couple of ways to do it.
the cheap way, and the way with real products.
i have found the way of real products makes more of a difference.

here is what you do-
if you put cotton balls between your toes for 10+ minutes once a day your toes will be stretched back to their original size, a little bit at least.

however, there are real toe spacers that work /much/ better.

this is for people who wear pointy toed shoes especially.

and then there are individual toe spacers, like this.

both, to my knowledge, work well.

i have only used a product similar to the individual toe spacer, made by PetEgg, but i cannot find a picture.
it is a blue gel toe insert that looks like [][][][][] basically.
my mother found it at Bed Bath and Beyond.
after 10 minutes, oh my goodness, it was so wonderful.
and my toes looked much less squished.

moving on, i do not do anything as far as pumice stones go.
i just do not need them.
but if you do focus on the main areas that you put your weight on.
do not know where you put your weight on?
here is an easy way to figure it out.

what you will need :
any color finger paint
a roll of paper

cover your entire foot in the finger paint, and roll out the paper in front of you,
and, walk.
just walk.
depending on where the paint is thickest or most full is wear you put most of your pressure and where you will have the most callus like build up.
as well, it is were you have the most tension- so if you get a foot massage- focus there.

last but not least- pretty toe nails.
i find there to be NO NEED for acrylic toe nails. unless you are a rabid sandal wearer.
i am not, i never wear them. not even in the summer.

but i still take decent care of my toe nails, because i just love nails.

it is important to have a good buffer, get one with four labeled sides.
side 1 - even out
side 2 - smooth
side 3 - buff
side 4 - shine

NEVER scrub at the nail back and forth with the even out side, this causes tears within the nails fiber and will only make them break faster.
DO NOT do it with a nail file either. same result.

after buffing and shaping each nail appropriately place cotton balls or pedicure toe spacers on each foot
[this will actually give you your toe spacer for the day if you take long enough]
apply one thick coat or two thin coats of clear nail polish, this will fill in any little cracks your buffer could not reach. and will help the polish last longer.
next, apply your color. wait until it is semi-dry to apply the next coat or it will turn into a tar like gel and will not dry appropriately.
[this is only true with cheaper nail polishes, though]
after your color has slightly dried apply your desired design.
or not.
then apply a top coat, either one thick or two thin again.

i never stress about only putting it on my toe nails, because i shower after i do my toes and scrub my feet extra good.
that way, my /entire/ nail is covered and my feet are a little tiny bit softer.

but that is just me, i am not big on pedicures.
you can do them if you wish.

and remember, keep your polishes in a room around 70 degrees,
extreme heat and cold can damage them, make them thicker and just bad for painting.

this is the closest picture to what i do that i could find,
i know it has been done by other people but i have /no/ idea what they call it.
i call it a two color french tip.

i plan on getting my nails done [filled and painted solid black] on Wednesday, if all goes right.
then i will do the video that night.

[note this is not what it looks like when i do it. it actually looks like a french tip not whatever the hell this is. but this is two colored so you get the idea?]

i will be doing a black nail with silver sparkle french tip and maybe a rhinestone but i haven't decided yet.
[i most likely will, i love rhinestones]
i have done it in the past i will look for a picture of how it looks when /i/ do it.

if you want to do this as well you will need the fallowing-
[i do it a different way then most salons]
long nails painted ONE color
sparkle nail design polish
[this way does not work with not sparkle infused colors, they are not thick enough and come out really cheap looking]
the same color as your nail polish nail design brush
top coat
2 rhinestones

this is an amazingingly well down two color french tip. but the nails are press on fake so they are terrible.

however, this is how my nails will look except the colors will be black+silver
and i have decided to put a rhinestone belt across only my ring finger.

i also found a literal TWO COLORED french tip.
as in the french tip was black and silver and the lower part of the nail was plain.
i will be doing that next.

i die.
i just recovered from the flu.
on December 31 i went to Grand Rapids to see my mom for a bit, then i came home. i woke up the next morning at like, early, and was okay-ish. but still not the best.
the next day- oh my my my i died.
i was simply unable to move.
and from then January 1st[2nd really] to January 5th[today] i was dead.
i laid on a futon, with not soft pillows at all, for days.
now that i realize the dates, it wasn't actually that long. but when you lay in the same spot falling asleep for a few hours at a time it seems like you're there forever.

i threw up every once and awhile,
and then when i finally felt well enough to shower- i threw up again.
RIGHT AFTER I SHOWERED
what a waste of clean.

i looked terrible, i still do.
but w/e i need to redye my hair.
i soaked in the shower so i bled like a rotting corpse.

w/e i'm better now, i better be able to go out and do things tomorrow or i am not going to be a happy Charlotte.

slept.

i spend all December 30th awake, starting at 9pm [rofl i suck, i know] then at 11am i drove back to Grand Rapids.
i packed some more stuff from my house then cleaned the basement that Aoi and i had messed up so bad.
he didn't come, though, i wanted to spend time with mom alone.
then at like, 1-1:30 mom got home and we went grocery shopping.
then i called my childhood BFF Lilith and apparently she'd been trying to get a hold of me for EVER. i felt so bad.
but we exchanged christmas presents, she got me a teddy bear from a copy that makes baby toys.
she knows me oh so well.
then after that i went home and hung out with mom for like 10 seconds more and then i came back here.

then i slept.
i kept waking up every few hours, it was so annoying. i bet it was the dog but idk.
now it's 6am, January 1st, 2010.

but i went from a blonde to a dark dark dark red violet brown [mostly brown when it was faded]
and i hated it so badly

so now i am a bright red with an orange tint.

my hair stylist said it would be better for me to just Manic Panic it rather than have her dye it because he dyes are more damaging than something like Manic Panic would be.
so when this fades, i'm Manic Panic-ing it up.

everything has been happening so fast, or so slow, i can't keep track of the days, let alone hours that i'm awake.
i lose a few days, then one passes that feels like a week.
everything has just been /so/ stressful.
and because of it my blog suffered.

i will be starting this one, but Ejote's blog is finished.
i missed too many weeks to feel okay doing it still.
i'll post about her sometimes, but she's all grown up and i don't think her fur is getting any longer.
we're re-potty training her right now.
and we made a hilarious ghetto leash because i can't find her old one.
i'd show pix but i don't have my cord that connects my phone to my laptop.

i will explain that now~

i am a very easily angered girl, annoyed, frustrated, i just get in bad moods so easy.
especially in the winter.
i was diagnosed with depression in 7th grade, anxiety in 10th, and S.A.D in 9th.
[out of order, lol]
S.A.D stands for two things that i know of,
social anxiety disorder, which i believe i have over come.
and seasonal affected disorder.
i most certainly have the latter.

i get /very/ moody in the winter and sometimes unpredictable.
i throw huge tantrums from time to time and get super angry over the smallest things.
it's difficult to be around me.
most of my relationships i have had ended in the winter when i became super cunt.

Aoi has seen me at my worst and has agreed to stay with me if i try harder not to be so unreasonable.

i became fed up living in my mothers basement, she told me she would try to help me move out on my own. but the money flow isn't flowing our way right now so i was told i'd have to wait or get a job and pay for it myself.

i was enraged.

but Aoi, the more level headed [and lazier~] of the two of us thought to move in the Beach House.
we own a home out near Grand Haven, it's in Ferrysburg.
and during the winter it just sits there.
we're trying to sell it, but it's not going anywhere. and during the summer we rent it out.
[no one comes to MI in the winter x3]

i didn't like the idea, i grew up here somewhat. but it was either this or basement. so i agreed.

we left with little plan or preparation. as is how we do everything and here we are.

i will take pictures of our home once /everything/ is set up how we want it.
i'm currently in what is called the "Blue Room",
a room on the second floor that was once a toy room for my brother and i.
my bedroom is not acceptable because it doesn't have MY bedframe. and that is the only bed i will sleep in.
i'm a cute brat.

hopefully we'll find someone to help us move within the next few weeks.

i took all my GED tests, passed all my tests first try.
got 500 or above on each test.
highest was 570 on science.

went to LA, came back. two day train trip. actually kind of fun.

and have been living with my best friend, Aoi, ever since.
it's been really fun. different. we had to stay awake for around 40+ hours to switch our schedules from waking up at 9-11pm to waking up at like 8am-12pm

however, we might be fucking ourselves over again.
aunt flo is visiting so i have been sleeping all day. plus i slept in way too much.
and he stays up until around 5am every night.

silly us.

we've done too many things to talk about them all. and i don't know how to pick out which to post about.

i will say, a friend of my fathers said he would hire me.
and he has not hired me yet.
it's been like 2-3 weeks.
i'm mad.

i will also say, i saw Cirque de[du?] Symphony and it was really-really good.
i didn't like the homoerotic at the end. and it's not any where near as good as real Cirque shows [i saw La Nuba[sp?]] but it was most certainly worth going.

trip to Chicago for the weekend

this weekend i went to Chicago, or more the Chicago land area, to visit a good friend of mine. her name is Rui.
i also spent time with her BFF Torie.

i got there really late on Friday night, it was really awkward at first. sitting in the car with a girl i hadn't seen IRL in months, and only seen her a few times for very short periods.
we met at ACen, two years ago. then saw each other at AX for maybe 20 minutes this year.

but we talked online a lot~

then, Torie, who i had never talked to. ever.
she's really quiet and so am i so it was like "*cricket*"

then when we got back to Rui's house a boy was there, her other BFF, who i don't approve of in the slightest. i really dislike him and hope i never see him again.
we get in the house and he goes, with a pipe in his hand "do you have a lighter?"
i don't mind smoking, i love the smell, but he was smoking pot.
i have never seen pot in person, and he just smoked it right in front of me like it was nothing.

i looked at him as if he had just murdered my dog, what a filthy thing drugs are. i can't stand them.
if you can't have fun sober you don't deserve to have fun at all.
anyone who does drugs isn't welcome in my life, just to let you know.

i promptly let him now how i felt and he left really fast. i guess i made him feel awkward.

then we slept, my doggy slept between me and Rui, then Torie was on the other side of Rui.

we woke up at like- 3, or 4, idk.
we had some fun, bought a lot of junk food. i ate way too much junk and nothing good.
i'm afraid to weigh myself.
Torie tried to check if the cookies were done with a tooth pick.
it's so funny when people who don't know how to do things do it wrong and think they're right.
it was hilarious, she tried to say she was right and then refused to listen when i tried to explain.

the reason it doesn't work is because cookies are made from DOUGH, not a batter.
things like cake, brownies... uhm, lemon bars maybe? i don't know i can't think of batters right now.
those you can check with a tooth pick, because they are liquid until baked.

but thinks like cookies, bread, blahmoredoughstuff those cannot be told with a toothpick because if you poke a toothpick in raw dough it will come out smooth. go ahead, try it.

we went to a party that night, as well, we went /really/ early because Rui's sister was there. so we watched them set up. it was a good house for a party, but Rui's sisters nephew came. and 18 year old idiot.

he was like "who are you supposed to be? Little Bow Peep and the Gate Keeper?" he thought he was so cool.
our Lolita cost more than everything in his room combined, i'm willing to put money on that bet.

GED testing

today i went to the adult learning center in Grand Rapids,
and,
i didn't get to take the GED test.

i am a minor so i needed a drop out form.
i had it.
i forgot to have my mom sign it.

AND i didn't have my social security card.
so i just filled out my form that says words about how i'm white and why i didn't graduate.
[it literally asked if i was bored and if the teachers sucked, i said yes to both ^OO^]

and then i came home, and my mom looked for what felt like hours for my SS card, and she finally found it.

BUT because tomorrow is i don't even know what it is, they aren't testing in the evening.
you know what that means?
7am wake up call.
leave by 7:20, drop Henry at school then mom will drop me.
how cute, i will be in sweats and messed up hair. of course.
i'm taking math and science tomorrow.

then on Wednesday i'll take English[comprehension] and History in the morning.
[7am wake up call again]
then at 5:30 i'll go back to take the 2nd English[writing] test.

THEN THE FUN BEGINNING.
i, officially, am booked to go to LA in California.
i am getting to the airport at 5:30am to be on the plane at 6:45am.
arriving at 11:15am.

SO MANY PICTURES I WILL TAKE!
then the next day i'm taking a three[i think?] day train ride with my BFF, Aoi, from LAX to GRR.
we aren't getting a bed, so we'll sleep in the chairs.

today, i went shopping.
such a wonderful thing, shopping is.

i went to Macy's, at the Woodland Mall. and stopped at the MAC counter, my favorite makeup brand next to Ben Nye[but this is a stage makeup brand. my brushes are Ben Nye]

my bangs kind of hide the makeup.
so i moved them.
sorry my eyebrows aren't perfect, i fucked them up so i'm letting them re-grow then i'll shape them again.
[or Becky, my hairdresser, will~]

this is the final outcome, i bought four different colors of shadow, and one "base". it's like primer on a wall went you paint it. it makes everything stay in place.

today i got my hair dyed.

it is a joyous occasion that i get my hair dyed.
and more so that i got my puppy groomed the same day!

i was not so cute going in- i don't think so at least.
don't do your hair before you go to get your hair done. it's a waste, you have to shampoo your hair before they dye it then. that's another like 10-30 minutes on top of a two-six hour process.
[six hours only if you're like bleaching and blahblah or mess up or something]
anyway.

back to the wig store

today i went to try and find Sally's, i couldn't, so i went back to the wig store because i knew where it was. and knew they had what i wanted.

i got black, red, white, and silver nail design polish. three nail files in pink and purple and blue maybe? as well as black, white, and pink nail gems for 13$
they are really inexpensive there, and they were really nice to me.

if i do my own nail design three times i will have paid for the products already.

i am going to do nails for my friends this weekend, because i want to start doing them myself instead of paying. since i have been watching them be done for 4 years.
they wont be as high quality- but i don't much care since i will be working with my hands in school.
but i want to practice on my friends before me.

but i look at picture of Pom/Bichon mixes and they are fluffy like Poms,
and i look at shaved Poms and- their fur looks more smooth than hers?
maybe it's because she does need to be groomed- or the fact that she's just growing out so it's a little ratty looking.
but i just wonder if the people at the society lied to me about how her fur would be.

her tail and ears are obvi pom length, but some breeds have fluffier ears/tails than body fur.
idk.

i just expected more hair by this time.
looking at her old pictures makes me go "shit, she was BALD"

she's still really cute, just not fluffy like the pom puppies i held at the fair.
only time will tell~

this is my final post and then i'm going to bed.
it's 5am and i really should sleep.

i got maybe- 15 minutes into this movie before i couldn't take it anymore.
the acting was awful, the costuming and casting was bad, it was just.... bad.
and so cheesy.

this was the first book i ever read by choice other than anime.
and i am boycotting this film and series.

the film is light and funny- the book is dark and very serious.

i am, in a word, angry.
the only reason they even made it was because of the fact that there are vampires in it.
and vampires are in right now.

i started reading this series in 5th grade.
i should be a senior now.

Paranormal Activity - Paranormal Activity... what can i even say about it?
wonderful is a good word to describe it.

this is what i wrote right after i saw it

"just watched Paranormal Activity [pm me for a link with HQ video]
and i must say- it was very good.

it was not "scary",
and no point did i scream, flinch, jump, or want to stop watching,
but when i went outside to let my dog out i had that feeling left inside me.
fear.
being alone in the quiet.
wondering what else there could be.

that is what makes a good horror movie.
is if when you turn off the lights- you think you might not know what's in the dark."

a very short explanation, but it is most def how i feel about it.

it has a VERY slow beginning and never gets faster than a jog really. do not go in looking to be on the edge of your seat.
you are in for a nice, sit back and relax show that slowly turns into wide eyed sitting in the back of your chair thinking "what is this?"

and honestly, that's the best there is.

i- however- do not believe this is real.
i don't believe that it is at all possible for that to be shown, you cannot make profit off a criminal case.
there was a MURDER in this film, you cannot release evidence like that. even if both parties[the accused and the murdered] are dead.
can you? you better not be able to.
that would be fucked up.

based on a real story, sure.
but i still don't believe it's real.

my second point, the ouija[is that even the right word? it's said WII-GEE] board scene, it did NOT glide smoothly over the board and looked like it was taken picture, moved, taken picture, moved, taken picture, moved. like claymation. cheap claymation.
though that could have been because i was watching online, i'm NOT sure, it did not look real to me. the plants in the background also moved from one position to another for NO reason. why would a ghost move the plants?

also, the scene where the female lead says she wants to stay in the house in her little girl voice is so clearly forced acting. i hated it, almost painful to listen to. but it was over quickly.

did it say it was fake at the beginning of the movie? i don't remember it saying that. but if it did this makes me sound like a total dumbass.

Where the Wild Things Are

i cannot, for the life of me, remember the book. i know i read it as a child, but it did not speak to me like this movie did.

i was not a well behaved child, i literally would scream and bite and kick and punch. run away, steal, throw things, cause problems.
i was just so imaginative.

the memories that stick out the most to me- from my childhood- was~
when i bit a girl and my tooth fell out in her arm.
when my mom had to grab me and hold me for maybe an hour as i kicked and screamed.
when i was being pelted with wood-chips by girls as i was stuck on a jungle-jim. [i was up there for the entire class period, they forgot i was up there]
when i chucked wood-chips at girls on the jungle jim because i wasn't going to get stuck again.
and when my mom followed me all the way from our house to the YMCA, i was barefoot.

i was a fun loving child, really.

BUT THAT IS NOT THE POINT.
well it kind of it, that is why i liked it so much. because i related.
i realized, the same as Max, that you can cause problems or you can try and help.

the costuming, first of all, was amazing. the scenery, the special effects. it was all just so nicely done. which is something that can really make or break a movie for me.
the plot line was cute, the beginning made me really angry though.
Max builds a fort in the snow and his big sisters friends destroy it, leaving him crying with a dead fort. i get angry when siblings don't stick up for each other, even when i don't like my brother i love him, and i always watch out for him.
i was going to beat the kids up at his summer camp for making fun of him- but my mom wouldn't let me.
jerk.
and the ending made me cry, i don't cry often over things other than physical pain, emotional frustration, and that's it.
i don't cry over movies, i don't remember ever crying over a movie at this mental age level? does that make sense?
i didn't ball or anything, but a tear fell. it was really cute that way.

i am not even talking about the movie, just me.
rofl i am so good that way.

my brother said he didn't like it, i don't know why, i really did. it wasn't "entertaining" or "exciting" but it really brought me a nostalgic feeling. and not many things do that.
so i liked it.

i heard people calling it "trippy" not in a psychedelic way- idk how else there is trippy. but it seemed normal to me, i have always been imaginative though. i guess.

let me explain what's going down,
first off these are my nails.

this is my own personal design, i design all my nail designs. and have for almost 8 months now.
they are fully black with silver lines in an X with a pink gem under the X on the ring finger if the pic is unclear. bad lighting in my room leads to that often.

secondly~
my mom was cleaning today.
she was cleaning a lot.
so i wanted to clean- because i like cleaning sometimes. and i was in the mood. i was going to do it before but shit got in my way so i didn't but i did it today!

i vacuumed the basement, then my room- then i went insane.

i stripped the pillow cases from my pillows and threw it on the floor- my stuffed animals and pillows.

then i got the first mattress off.

and i made a mountain with my pillows and mattress for funny.

then i pulled the box mattress off.
i almost died it was so hard~
but i did it.

it was disgusting under there.

not able to get it back on- i begged my mom for help.
she did.

and i re-vaccumed my room.

then i made my bed with my new comforter.
the bright pink pillow will be black- so will the small bit of kitty pillow under the stuffed animals.
i have black pillow cases in the wash still.

yes i have two laptops, the one on my desk is only used to play The Sims 2

i have an obsession- an obsession with cleaning.
once i start i cannot stop- not until it's done or done to a point where i cannot make it better.

i started today with my bathroom, then worked a little with my bedroom, and i will do my car[which i am trying to sell kind of] later.

this is my army, a broom, small broomy thing, trash bags, toilet bowl cleaner, scrubbing bubbles stuff, paper towels, a towel, and a ball to distract my dog with so she doesn't attack the trash.

i have no before pictures, because to be honest- i don't want anyone to know how gross i let it get before i clean it.

let me explain something- i adore storage. even though my sick and shower use all the space instead of keeping it stored.

[the dark on my comb and shiny on my brush are pig tail holders, all my hair brushing things have them on the handle. and my wrist]

pink bottle - really good eye makeup remover. i put it on a q-tip and remove a little bit under my eyes to make the lines perfect when i use pencil. i don't like smudge lines.

clear bottle with green top - heat protection stuff
white bottle with red label - idk... body lotion? my mommy got it for me for my birthday.
orange bottles [both] - hand soap, the first one is plain the second is massaging.
pink soap - hand soap. some people like bar soap plus it's pink~

wooden thing - nail cleaner
cups - to rinse when i brush my teeth. it has a candle on top.
box - makeup cleaner kit, top has space for tissue, under has space for cotton balls and q-tips c:
toothpaste/brush - this is my harsher tooth paste, i rarely use it. because it hurts my mouth. i brush my teeth in the shower. but when i really can't stand my teeth i use this.

this is the mess under my sink.
it's completely unorganized and just stores shit.

this has my teeth whitening stuff and floss in it. that is basically my teeth bag.
candles, pain killers, tums, and some acne stuff i didn't like are also in there.

and them something every girl i know has- a tampon drawer~

this is my shower/bath. i have a two in one thing. i hate it. i want a shower again. but i'm used to it now so w/e.

clear bottle with label - hand soap, for my ears and eyes. i use to get rid of eye makeup when i don't want to use the pads and for ear piercing cleaning.
bottle - shower lotion stuff i don't use. birthday gift, it smells so good.

smaller pink bottle - dog shampoo
silver tube - toothpaste, for sensitive teeth
pink bottle - face wash
purple ball - luffa
toothbrush - electric toothbrush~

this is the lower part, i keep my body wash, extra strength conditioner and a luffa that quiets the dripping shower head here.

takes 30-60 minutes depending on what needs shaving. usually just the pits.

and this is my tower, next to my sink.
bottom has my hair extensions and hair tools. flat irons, curlers, and blow drier.

middle has rubber gloves, extra shampoo[like different brands, and for my extensions], and shoe polish.

and then the top has a bunch of hair stuffs, headbands and whatnot, then hair product, hairspray-moose-blahblahblah

and this is my toilet.
it's the most boring part of my bathroom.
the toilet paper holder doesn't work- it breaks and falls off all the time.
so it all stays on the back thingy.

Halloween Stores/wig stores

i found a store today- my mom found a store today- and i am in love.

but let's start with what i meant to do today.
last year i found a Halloween store that was so amazing, it had professional wigs and costumes worth 100$s it was so amazing. platform shoes and petticoats, vampire teeth and demon horns. so nice.
but i couldn't find it this year.

so we went to a all year long costume shop, thinking it wouldn't be as cheap.
it was.

it was messy and gross, the people who worked there were creepy and hit on me a little bit. i did not like.
they had one wig that i liked, but it didn't come in a color that i liked- so we left.

they did have some masquerade masks that i liked- as well as vampire teeth that had two teeth. so it'd be on your k-9 and the tooth next to it. i thought that was very nice. but i didn't want to spend any of my money- so i didn't.

i don't like halloween stores, they're cheap and dirty and just gross.
all year ftw, but not this one. it was cheap and dirty too.

on our way back we drove down 28th, the street that takes you everywhere, and saw a wig store. well, mom saw it, and said something, so i said we should stop. and really, we were so close to not that i would say it was insane that we actually stopped.

they had only african american models on the outside of the store. the model posters. so me, being a skinny white girl, was a little worried. but when we went it they were all Asian. i feel very comfortable around asians, seeing as i buy from them more than anyone else.

wigs upon wigs, walls of hair extensions, fake eyelashes, nails, and ever circle lenses, i was in love.
i am almost upset about leaving GR now that i know that is there. but i know there will be that in LA, more than one i'm sure.
so many wigs, i didn't bring my phone in because i didn't think it would be anything amazing but oh was i wrong.
no more buying lenses offline for me~
okay i most like will still.

i found a wig i liked, and just had to cut the bangs.

i need another head for it, idk where i'll get one.

LoTR

a few days ago i went to the theater for a movie/concert. what does that mean exactly? well it means i watched a movie while listening to the choir/orchestra. the movies soundtrack was taken out- so only the actors voices and sound effects were heard. no music. and it was very-very neat.
the movie i went to was The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring. or the first of the series. it was full. so crowded. i hate crowds.

and wouldn't you know it? i was in the very middle of the theater. best seat in the house for a movie- and i could see the entire on stage performance. a few of the singers heads were cut off but not bad.
my brothers flute instructor played the fife[sp?]. which is the main instrument in the hobbit sounding music.

i was angry because mom made me sit next to my brother, who was slightly ill. he fell asleep about 3/4 of the way through, which also pissed me off. how rude.

there was a woman behind us [or more so a teen] who was wearing the elf woman's necklace, she bitched so much. i wanted to smack her.

i hate people who bitch about the performance, elitist assholes~

it got 4/4 stars, btw.

i really enjoyed it, i really enjoy the entire series. for whatever reason, whenever there is a series, i see the 1st more often than anything else.
maybe it's because it's around the longest?

i have also been to the LoTR play, which took all three movies and squished it into a single play. and let me tell you- it was beautiful. they used stilts for the tree people[oml i can't think of anything right now, names, races, etc, forgive me], the stage actually rose in different sections to make mountains, and it was really amazing, i saw it in either London or New York city so unless you live there i wouldn't expect it to come any time soon.

whitening trays

as you all know, if you have read my blog that is, i had my teeth whitened awhile ago. as well i was given whitening trays.
and today~ i decided to try the trays.
first of all- the trays themselves are awful. i would suggest brushing them so that they don't smell/taste funny. i didn't. -dying-
secondly- read the instructions before you start. i thought i had the overnight kind, i don't. so i have to stay up an extra hour waiting for this shit to be done.
third- just brush your teeth so you never have to do this.

okay, so you take a siring and place a drop about o the inside of that o large in each tooth. i put less in the smaller teeth and more in the bigger. and i didn't do the back teeth because no one can see those. it's best to save it so i can use more later.
you then place the trays in your mouth, don't push them down to fast of all the gel will just come out and not be on your teeth.
then you wipe away the excess and wait.

after an hour you take them off and rinse the trays and brush them to get gel that wont come out out.

i will update with anything i learn/if i can tell a difference after one use when this is done.

going halloween shopping tomorrow, and i'm going to upload pix i took a few nights ago from a play/movie i went to.
so sorry i've been really lazy.

UPDATE
my teeth do in fact look whiter.
and after about 10 minutes i got over the terrible feeling so it was only slightly annoying.
as well i got a "zinger" which hurt more than the ones i remember when i got my actual teeth whitening. it lasted longer, but it's gone now.
i'm glad i did it, but i don't think i will again for awhile.

i would much rather get my teeth whitened then do the trays, if you're deciding between the two.
but the trays are about 200$ less expensive.
so~
if you have the money spend it,
but don't take a loan out if you don't.
there are other inpatient options, too. but we never talked about them so ask your dentist not me!

today, i, Charlotte, helped my brother, Henry, with his math homework.
Henry is a 12 year old 6th grader.
he is in algebra.
which was my 9th grade class.
i never passed.
Henry also got all the questions write on his math meep test.
the meep is a the Michigan standardize test.

and, i, Charlotte, knew something about math that my brother, Henry, did not.
so take that.

i know how to do math with letters better than he does.

leg waxing

today i got my legs waxed for the first time, i plan on making this a regular routine for me. [money allowed] no more razors for my legs~
it's not a very painful experience, just time consuming and a little costly.
55$ is a cheap rate for leg waxing, 15$ per leg up to the knee, then 30$ for a full leg is what most salons charge.
or that's what i've seen.

anyway, the room was very nice. just a bed, like a massage table. so it's high enough for her to get to me- there were scented candles in the room as well as a waterfall. the waterfall to me made it sound like it was raining. i was like "how would you know if it is raining?!"
her whole house was nice, though. candles everywhere, a spiral stair case, a trampoline outside, and an RV[i want one, so does my mommy~] it was a beautiful house. even though it was in construction mode right them. redoing the fireplace.

oh! how do you know it's safe to go to a persons HOUSE? well she's Becky's friend. she does Becky's bikini line. so they're close. Becky is my hair dresser, if you forgot. love her~

we went down to her little spa room and she explained how it's very rare to have dark AND thin hair. which is what i have. i was like, yup, thin hair, thin thin thin -hate- i hate that i have thin hair. but apparently it's better for waxing. i don't know what thick hair does when waxed, it didn't apply to me. so i can't help you if you have thick or course leg hair. but she said "if you have thick or course leg hair you wont get the result you want"
she put a small patch of wax on my leg and my anxiety flipped, she said it wouldn't be bad if my eyebrows/lip weren't a problem.
she ripped it off and ta-da hairless.
i didn't even flinch.

she continued to do the rest of my legs, what most people do will be the lower leg, then the knee, and the thigh. only the front. the "front" is more the actual front then both sides. leaving a strip in the back.
she moved on to the other leg, and it wasn't awkward at all. granted, she moved my skirt around, moved my panties so she wouldn't get wax on them, it was a little weird. but she was really friendly and not... weird.

we talked about a lot of things, her daughter who is going into 7th grade waxed her own legs! she didn't apply the wax herself, but she pulled out all her own hair. i can't imagine doing that. because it doesn't hurt /that/ bad but it does hurt. i plan on doing it "myself" when i move in with my friend. he can wax my legs, much less expensive.
as well she used to work at a salon that did man brazillian waxes, and hair backs, and all gross stuff! she hated it so she quit and works out of her basement and as a home cleaner.
she does massage, all types of waxing[women only~] and i think she does facials too.

the process of waxing is simple, you lie on your back and are waxed.
she'll tilt your leg to get to everything, and then do the other leg, ankle up.
then she rubs you with a lotion that removes any excess wax so that you wont get stuck-
funny story that she told me about this. a woman tried to wax her own Brazilian and got... stuck together. if you catch my drift~ she then went into the bath to try to get it off and got stuck to the tub.
she had to pick the wax off, basically ripping the hair out slowly and painfully and rubbing the de-wax lotion all over her cootch.
wonderful huh?
okay anyway, she waxes the back of your legs and ta-da all done.
it takes about one hour.

it's now 9:15pm, i started my wax at 1pm[so finished at 2pm] and my legs are still a tiny bit red.
not like my skin is read, but my follicles are. it goes away completely in 24 hours but she said it should be less for me since my skin didn't get red from the wax.
so we'll see when i wake up.
it's almost gone already.

facts of waxing-
hair should be grown out for 6 weeks before waxing,
hair grows in three stages, you should to be in the third to wax
wax will not get all the air if it's not all grown out- hair in the 1st stage will not come out
you can't just go get waxed and walk out with perfect skin- your skin will be irritated after
you shouldn't put lotion on freshly waxed legs, or for 24 hours after. you don't want to clog your pours
don't get a pedicure after you wax your legs, the exfoliating scrub with BURN
don't shave off nair[not a waxing tip, just something she said she did when she was little and it ruined her idea of nair and hasn't used it since]
don't use strip wax on your bikini or brizillian, don't let someone use that on you, use cream wax

what to do when you spill something in your hair?

have you ever been out, at a club, with some friends, getting your legs waxed [lol] and you find you have something sticky in your hair?
spilled soda, food, something you don't know?
i have.
today i got soda in my hair from my sunglasses i haven't worn in months.
they had melted slurpee on them- and i didn't notice when i put them on.
when i noticed i had a spot of sticky in my hair.
i tried brushing it out, but no such luck.
so i tried something anyone can do in any bathroom.

step 1 isolate the sticky part of your hair, and lift it away from the rest
step 2 wet the area, but not the rest of your hair
step 3 using hand soap wash the sticky away, if it's a small spot it wont even look like you washed your hair with hand soap
step 4 rinse
step 5 comb hair and dry, use a hand dry blower like a blow drier if you have one

and ta-da, clean hair.

Halloween

one thing that has always been a large part of my life is Halloween, from Nightmare Before Christmas to dressing up, all the way to trick-or-treating. i have never felt more happy than i do in the fall when the leaves are orange and the air is crisp.

and i am not the only one in this family who loves Halloween, my mother and i have always shared an obsession over this holiday, and if either of us had friends i'm sure we'd actually throw parties for it.
but since neither of us do- we decorate. not so much over the top for everyone else, but we spend a lot of money on simple things.

when i was a child i would watch Nightmare before Christmas about 3-7 times a week, i still do about once a week. but i show my love for it more through merchandise.
sweatshirts, pajama pants, dolls, snow globes, piano sheet music, kitchen set, plates, collectors DVDs and my new favorite- our town.
mom didn't know how many she ordered when she ordered them, but we have 13 pieces now.

the rest were in an area that was too dark to take pix, they are visible but my phone doesn't pick up on light very well.
they all light up, but none are plugged in right now. and they all come with one or two figures. as well those lights, the pumpkin ones that are standing like street lights, light up.

i plan to get a large glass table that is like a case so i can keep the town up always.
my snowglobes need a place to go as well.

anyway, Halloween has always been my favorite. not only because of my sweet tooth, but because i get to wear whatever i like and no one looks at me strangely. no one cares. it's full acceptance and even some pride in being so well dressed.
i don't mind if people hate what i wear, i don't- but i adore being complimented on it. and i get more on Halloween than any other time in the year.

anyway, NBC is not my only Disney passion, i also have Disney Princess bath towels, shower curtain, calendar, tissues, boxes, coloring books, a bunch of things. but my new favorite is~

facial waxing and pedicures

waxing, a word that by itself strikes fear into the heart of most women and men, even those who have undergone the melted pleasure.
but truly, i find it to be enjoyable and tingly. i always love the feeling of "freshness" after i get my eyebrows waxed.

today i got a pedicure with my mother, i also had my eyebrows waxed. a normal thing for me to do. once every 2/4 weeks. i pluck at home, but i'm not very good. i always end up thinning my eyebrows out even more.
but i did something today i've never done, i waxed my upper lip. i have always been worried about it, i have dark hair naturally. eyebrows, arm hair, leg hair, stomach hair even. and of course, a stash.
though it wasn't so noticeable that i'd ever plucked or photoshopped it out it was noticeable to me.
and the woman who waxed my eyebrows because she suggested it.

personally, i don't find waxing to hurt. i pluck my legs if i miss a hair or two shaving, and it doesn't hurt. i have waxed my eyebrows off fully to draw them on for a makeup thing i was trying[i'm not good at that] and obvi i wax my brows all the time.

i'm excited to see what leg waxing feels like, i'm told by people who have done it it's not so bad.
but my mom, who is terrified of the idea, says i'll most likely cry.

now, here is how waxing works. depending on where you go it will vary slightly. but not much.

they cover your eyebrows in a fine white powder, idk what it is. most likely baby powder really. to protect the skin so the wax doesn't pull it off. but it will still irritate your skin some~
followed by... the wax. it's hot to the touch but not burning, they should touch/blow on it to make sure of this.
then a thin piece of cloth on top of the wax and it's pulled off in the opposite direction of how your hair grows.
repeat until eyebrows are done.
after it's finished they put oil on your forehead to restore moisture.
or where ever on your face you had waxed.

now, as far as my facial waxing tips go-
don't go if you have acne on where you want waxed.
don't wear makeup, you do tear up a little.
don't tense your face, relax.
keep your eyes closed!

i also know, from reading, that if your getting your bikini/brazilian done NOT to go the week before or after your period. you are more sensitive then.

Pedicures-
no pictures because i think feet are super ugly and i don't know no one to see mine.
i got them painted a soft pink color, everything about me is black except my toe nails. ahahahaha!

they start by removing the cuticles, your feet soak for a few minutes, followed by a cuticle oil then they use a special tool to cut them off. [i might be out of order here]they then exfoliate your legs with a very abrasive exfoliating salt, do NOT shave your legs before you go. it can burn- really bad. first hand experience~ and don't feel bad if your leg hair is really long, the asians wont judge.
[again, asian salon only. they're the best and care for your feets <333]
they use a very hard sponge on your feet to exfoliate them, with a moisturizing cream. it does tickle, try not to move.

they then use just lotion on your entire leg and then clean off your toes and paint. base coat, two coats of color, and a top coat.
this lasts months, if you're not rough with your feet[wear close toes shoes mostly]
that's about it, pedicures are a great way to relax.
i love them.
i don't get them often because i never show my feet in public anyway.
only when they're really ugly.

i'd just like to add, to all you girls out there with hairy bods- don't be ashamed.
i shave my toes, legs, [cough] privets, stomach, arms, arm pits, and my fingers.
i hate hair, i hate how it looks, and feel, so i just shave it.
who cares.
no one is all that pretty under their makeup [okay, i am ^OO^] but no one needs to know that.
don't hide your "flaws" embrace them. make them beautiful.
and remember, nothing is more beautiful than a confident woman.

my stay in a adolescent mental hospital

i never really thought to post this- but it was requested. so here it is~

for 3 days, 72 hours, i was in Forest View. a hospital for adults and adolescents, though the two are separated. as well girls and boys are separated in their "wings".

when i went in it was to decide if i still was depressed. because my mom was worried and wanted me to have an evaluation, i did not know there was any chance of me becoming inpatient. i spoke with a woman who didn't listen to me, and took everything i said as if it was still affecting me. the things i told her, and i told her at the time, were apart of my past. she just wanted my history with depression. i also told her about my weight loss, and i didn't know how long i'd been losing weight so i told her that i wasn't sure. but it was over the last six months to a year.
they took it to an extreme and decided i was a threat to myself. i was placed inpatient that moment.
they didn't let me talk to my mother, and made her leave, because i had a panic attack and started yelling. i didn't think they could hear- i wouldn't yell at my mom in public. or in privet unless she'd really fucked up. and she did. she listened to "professionals" tell her what happened in my life even though she had NEVER heard of ANYTHING they told her. and she damn well knows i tell her everything. except when i break rules- but i tell her soon after. now i tell her right away because lying isn't worth anything.

anyway, they didn't allow me to go home and get my things, they took my picture and strip searched me so that they knew i wasn't trying to smuggle anything in.
then they lead me to my room. the rooms are awful, the mattresses are about two inches thick. if that. they have one hard pillow, plain white sheets and tiny thin "blanket". two beds to a room, a desk, a closet, and side tables for each bed. that's all.

they don't allow many different things, no electronics, no razors of course, no flat irons or hair driers, no hair gel or styling products, no makeup. you can have a tooth brush, tooth paste, shampoo and conditioner. also, no shoes except slippers, no shoe laces, no strings to tighten your pajama pants or hoods, basically, you're treated the same as they treat you in a prison.

i cried for the rest of the day, never left my room, and tried to get over my panic attack. i hadn't had suicidal thoughts in months. but the fact that i was abandoned by the only person i had IRL made me want to kill myself. seems like a helpful environment, no?
i was finally able to fall asleep- but woke up and had another panic attack. trying not to scream cry i sobbed in as close to silence as i could. and you know what i was told? to shut up. they told me "you're not the only one here, shut up. people are trying to sleep."
they are very kind there.

the next day i woke up and went to the in room dining, because i hadn't been cleared for lunch room dining yet. they fed us those breakfast patty things like from mcdonalds. with egg and a patty in like a biscuit. but much more greasy.
i told them i couldn't stomach this, because it was too greasy. and asked if i could have cereal and SKIM milk instead. i can't stomach 2%. they told me it wasn't greasy, that it was very healthy. i showed them a napkin i dabbed on it covered in grease. they told me "tough shit, no breakfast. you have to eat what we give you because you're not cleared for anything else."
remember, i was there for anorexia.

i didn't get breakfast.

about half an hour later they tried to get me to drink Ensure. i have a very sensitive gag reflex, i gag at just about everything. i can hardly eat yogurt with fruit in it because it's all chunky and disgusting. so i told them it wasn't going to work, they again told me "tough shit" but this time it was the Ensure or they force fed me. i stood right in front of them, took a sit, and choked.
they let me throw it away.

then at snake time they gave me a double dose, two bran muffins and a milk carton. 2%. i told them i can only drink skim. and you know what? THEY FINALLY GAVE IN.
i got skim.
i ate it with out any words.

i met with the dietitian and doctor then. they said i was cleared for lunch room dining, but if i skipped any meals i would have to go back to the in room dining. i had no complaints, i knew if i wanted out i had to play by their rules.
i was also prescribed Cymbalta and Seriquil. depression and anxiety medication. one is basically just to help me sleep.

it was dinner time now, and i shoveled down the disgusting greasy pasta like everyone else. except the other people seemed to /enjoy/ it. everyone was looking at me, i could hear them talk about me as i sat in my room and they had "free time" and it just annoyed me.

this day, the first day technically, i awoke feeling very nauseous. i gave credit to the grease. i ended up passing out on the floor walking to the lunch room for breakfast. they told me it was the medication, and it was, i still feel dizzy often on it. but i have only almost passed out one other time. and only because i missed a dose.

i socialized a lot, put on the biggest smile i could, and did everything and ate everything i was told to.
it was a terrible time, but no one could tell that i felt that way.
what got me through it the most was that i spent free time writing to my best and still my only real friend.
i love my Aoi~

the next day i had my room mates switched, from another girl named Samantha B to an anime nerd. i got along with her very well. it wasn't exactly the next day when she came, it was that night.
i woke up to the sound of a girl crying, i look over to the window and see a figure slumped under it balling her eyes out.
i thought it was the girl from the room next to me, it wasn't. it was a new girl.
she had also been dragged away from her mom- but she didn't even have a hissy fit when it happened. they just dragged her in there.
and you'll never guess what they did when they heard her crying.
they yelled at both of us to go to bed or she'd be tranquilized.
we went to bed. she tried her best to be quiet.

i was pretty much in with everyone by the second day. i acted like i was happy and during every therapy session i just said i wasn't depressed. because i wasn't i didn't feel upset, i didn't feel suicidal. just mad at my mom for sticking me there. like i said- i hadn't had unpleasant thoughts in months. and i still haven't. i just get a little upset every once in awhile. my mom thought i was depressed because i sit in my room 24/7 and never go out and i don't have any friends IRL and the only time i talked to her was when i was having drama with my ex-girlfriend and was all "i hate lifeeeee" which is understandable.
but i am not depressed, i am just BORED.
[sure i may have depression but i'm not depressed. make sense?]

later that day my mom came, and we talked, it's called a family session. we laughed and hugged like everything was normal. i told her the deets about what the drama was going down in the hospital. how i'd been hit on multiple times. how fucked up some of the people were. how bad i felt for them. how disappointed i was in this generation. and after that it was pretty much set in stone i was going home very soon- but i was really upset when it wasn't that day.

a boy had gotten released the day before, and he'd left me his phone number and AIM. i never contacted him when i left, i never would. he was a man whore and it really grossed me out.

anyway~ the day i left, the third day, i woke up really upset. thinking "i might actually be here for a week." but come lunch time i was leaving. it was over. i had been acting- and honestly felt- like nothing was wrong. the terms of my release was that i attend counseling and take my medication.
being admitted and released in 3 days is a pretty big feet, i think. most the people there were there for a week to four at a time.
SO FUCK YOU HOSPITAL.

when i went to the shrink she laughed, saying i didn't need anything. the only issue i had was not talking to my mother enough- and she was right. mom and i talked, and we're on a great level now. so i guess i'm glad that this experience gave me that.
she's my favorite mom, i wouldn't trade her for anything. even though she messes up sometimes. i do to.
no one is perfect.

basically, the people that were there that i got to know were like this.
one very young girl- who was given up by her parents because she was too difficult. an anorexic child with many behavioral problems. but the thing is, if you just let her do what she wanted she was fine. not like- let her beat people up, but let her bring her teddy bear with her, and give her attention when she wanted it she would be FINE. or if you just got her attention on something else than whatever she was doing wrong- totally fine. she was an absolute sweetheart. but she responded so bad to negative speak that the "experts" gave her that they had to move all of us to a separate room and tranquilize her. she was out for over 16 hours. i was very angry.

a typical "i'm so hxc" teenager. she's bi, she's dating a 20+ year old even though she's only 14, she's had sex, she's attempted suicide, she loves metal, and guess what?! she cuts her own hair~ black clothes, cut marks, what a wonderfully unique person she is. whenever i talked to her i wanted to smack her. she had no problems other than wanting to have problem. i hate people like her.

this one boy, i felt very bad for, he has a genetic problem where his body ages much faster than it should. he'll be dead by 30, because he ages so fast. he was only like 16, he could have been 20-30. he has a child, and works so hard to not be depressed. but he is. i felt so bad. he was so strong but not strong enough. :c

uhm, those were the only interesting people. the rest really kept to themselves or their problems were common ones that aren;t worth mentioning because i don't even remember them.

i must say, i miss the one girl who came in. she was just like me- in a way- not as pretty- but she and i were similar. i hope she got out soon. because all she did was make an empty threat to her mother to get her to understand her feelings were real.

how /i/ lose weight

well, if you don't know already you're going to learn now. i am an anorexic. i lost nearly 50 pounds through anorexia my first time, gained 10, lost 10 like two or three times. and i want to lose 10 again.
i am 115.8LBs i would like to be 102. but i'll look at myself harshly at 108, and 106.
i only like some numbers so i have to be one of those three or i'll feel weird.

back when i lost the most weight i ate up to 500 calories a day. sat on webcam all day and talked to people. played DDR and ate one weight waters diet meals a day. that was it.
and i did that for a long ass time. then i started losing weight really slowly because i stopped playing DDR and just starved, it took me so long to get to 106 and then every anorexics worst fear happened-
i was admitted to an inpatient mental hospital.
i gained 6 pounds there and have been losing and gaining for awhile now.
but never going below 108.
i desperately want to get back to where i was almost happy.
i wasn't skeletal but i wasn't perfectly flat yet either.

then in South Dakota i went from 110 to 115.8
and i'm going back to hardcore restricting until i get back down.

as you also know- my mom reads this. and it will scare her a lot. and i feel awful for scaring her. but this is my life, i don't want to live for anyone else. i just want me to be happy.

today i ate a yogurt, a mini bagel, watermelon, and two fruit cookies.
that totals in 360 calories.
[i had birthday cupcake but since it's birthday it doesn't actually count ;D]
and that's all i'm eating today.
i also had three bottles of water.
we'll see how much i weigh tomorrow.
i will also be walking my dog twice a day as soon as she moves to here.

i joined a pro-ana site to get tips and tricks on how these girls deal with hunger pains and i can honestly say i was disgusted by the majority of them.
80lbs?! at 5'7?! do you WANT to look like a stick?
no boy will ever touch you, because it will feel like cuddling a chair.
you'll never fit in clothes, you'll have to shop for custom made things because you'll have no curves.
and NO ONE will find you attractive except other people who are titched in the head.
i don't understand how these girls can see themselves that way. how they get that far down the path.
i am diagnosed with anorexia, but i don't see it as a disorder for myself. i choose how i am. i see myself realistically. i just am very harsh and judgmental and so what's "acceptable" for you isn't for me. i want a beautiful body. that's all.
i only have one life to live- i want to live it my way.

but i got to depressed about my failures to lose so i'll just post my goal and then i'll talk about what i keep with me at all times.

i used to be 150lbs, then i lost so much weight that i was 106. now i'm 115. and i hate it~
i want to be 106 again, my body was almost pretty enough for my tastes.
so we'll see.

there is something every girl has no matter where you go. and if she doesn't have one... well she's just weird.
and i'm talking about~ a purse.
a bag.
a sack.
a backpack.
anything.
and they are usually HUGE AND HEAVY.

and what is in those bags you ask?
well i'll tell you what's in mine.

front left pocket : cellphone and DS
front right : iPod, keys, and digital camera
first big pocket : wallet, coin purse, tissues
back big pocket : makeup bag, pencil case, notebook, planner, contact case

i have a LOT of stuff.
and it's all important that i always have,
why?
i never know what i'll need.
i never know if i'll get stuck.
and i never know the future. obvi~

why do i need a notebook and a planner? because sometimes i get ideas for stories and i write.
and write.
and write.
or i need scrap paper to rip out.
plus it's cute.

selling used clothes, buying used clothes, buying clothes online

selling and buying used clothing is the best way to make money and spend wisely. as long as you buy from a trusted shop/person and the clothes aren't damaged no one will no they're used but you. because, let's face it, the second someone tries a shirt on at the store it's technically "used" so why pay as much as you have to in stores when it looks the same?

i sell my clothes to Plaito's Closest, simply because i don't know anywhere else to sell to. and they give me a good amount of money for what i'm selling- better than donating to Good Will at least~
i made 70$ today, selling clothes i would never wear IRL. only in South Dakota. and no one will ever see that me again, i swear it.

anyway, first you want to wash all your clothes, make sure they look as good as they can. if you see a major flaw- bring it anyway. you never know what they will or wont take. and if they don't take it at one point, bring it back in a few months. they might take it then. i just sold a pair of winter boots they didn't take early this summer, but now that winter is upon us they did take them.
and sometimes they miss a little wear and tear, so it's always good to bring it back and scam another 5-10$ into your wallet.
one of the pairs of pants i brought in was COVERED in super glue on the butt. but it wasn't visible, just hard where the glue is. they didn't notice. i got like 10$ for them. go me~

when buying clothes you want to make sure you want it. try it on. nothing will stretch or fade any more than it already looks usually. which is what makes it my favorite, you see it and it looks how it really will after you wash it. soooo good <33
but NEVER buy ANYTHING without trying it on first. it's just not worth it.

now i know what you must be thinking- "you can't try clothes on online" no, you can't, but sometimes you can't get what you want in stores. like me. i buy only online really. some things IRL but nothing much. shirts, jackets, but nothing i really like to wear.
when you buy clothes online you make sure the site is legit, how do you check for this? look at costumer feedback, most of the sites i use are suggested to me by people who have used it. so i know they're good.
if you want the sites i use just ask, i'll link you~

when you get the clothes do NOT cut the tags off. until you've tried them on and know they fit. you can return them and exchange sizes if the tags are still attached.

often times i just buy off eBay, and in the Lolita world this is a huge no-no. and i agree, defiantly do NOT buy Lolita clothes off eBay. worse than bodyline almost 100% of the time. but i buy visual kei inspired clothing, shoes, jewelry, etc off of eBay. Punk Rave is one of my favorite goth brands. and i have only ever found it on eBay. plus it's easy to find user reviews on there.

acrylic nails are most likely my favorite cosmetic application, they are beautiful and fun. and so so versatile. whatever you can imagine can be done, and whatever you want will be done. if you do to the right place.

so let's start with that- picking a salon.

i don't care how racist this is- Asian salons only. i have had white people do my nails, i've had asians do my nails, and honestly i have never seen a white salon with electric files. and you NEED electric files. so- the first thing you look for is asians.

next, pricing, today i got a fill, french tip, and design, it was 23$ do NOT pay more than 23$ for a fill and design.
they charge 15$ for a fill, 5$ for a french tip, and 5$ for design. but they love me so they only charged me 3$ for my design.
i don't know how much a full set is- i don't remember. i haven't gotten one in so long since i just get fills.

next you will look for friendly-ness, go during the rush and see if they smile and tell you they'll be with you in a minute, and if they're rude just leave.

try a few different salons, go to one and get a pedicure, go to another and get a manicure, go to another and get your eyebrows waxed. anything so you can find which salon suits you.

the one here at our mall, Woodland Mall in Grand Rapids, is shit. i hate it there.
i also hate the salon i went to in Mitchell. but the one in Ada, called Ada Nails, is my absolute favorite.

once you've found your salon NEVER CHEAT ON IT.
it's just wrong.
don't go to a new salon unless you absolutely have to. like if you're out of town for over 2-4 weeks. [i usually get my nails done every 2 weeks. but you can go up to 4.]

here are some FQA about acrylic nails

Are they damaging for your real nail?
no, not if cared for properly. meaning getting them re-done every 2-4 weeks. of course if you do take them off once put on your nail under where the acrylic nail will be weak and not very pretty. but it will grow back the exact same as it was.

Are they expensive?
not if you find a good salon, Asian salons honestly cost less as well. and have higher quality.

Can i do it myself?
i know a few people who do- i think it's fine. if you know how. you shouldn't practice on yourself, or on anyone else. get a dummy hand. and actually learn. they do LEGALLY have to go to school for this. it is difficult.

What's the difference between this and press on nails?
press on nails are shit- they are just glued to your nail and aren't shaped to your nail or strong at all.

How do you get acrylic nails? what's the process?
you start off with a white nail glued to the end of your nail. like a press on, but with super glue and only where your nail starts to grow white. they then cut it down to the length you want- followed by putting the acrylic or gel on top depending on what you want. they then shape it correctly to your nail, with an electric file. then they paint it.

Do electric files hurt?
no.
sometimes they do, but very rarely. and not very much.

Do acrylic nails hurt?
the first time you get them they will hurt a little bit, only around where your nail and skin meet. it's usually gone by the morning after you get them.

How long do they last?
forever.
they will stay on until you peel them off. if you take care of them that is. [they will fall off sometimes if you use your hands a lot]
you have to get them "filled" every 2-4 weeks. a fill is when they put more acrylic or gel between the first one and where it has grown. i get mine every 2 weeks because i hate seeing them grown out at all. but i have gone 4 weeks with only one nail falling off due to wear and tear.

going from brown to blonde is a difficult process, and costs quite a bit. where i go it is about 80$- i suggest you not do it yourself unless you know what you're doing. bleaching is very dangerous and can literally melt your hair, as well it can- and has for me- break off in your hand, comb, whatever.

you start off just with your terrible roots.

next the bleach is applied, be careful not to get on your clothes or in your eyes.

the bleach stays on for about 30 minutes- bring your DS or PSP or a book if you're lame.

i also got an angled cut, but it was 1am when i was finally done and relaxed. so i took out my weave and just went to bed.

how to make Chocolate Raspberry Cheese Cake

Recipe

Cake
• 2 (3 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
• 1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT evaporated milk)
• 1 egg
• 3 tablespoons lemon juice from concentrate
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
• 1 (6 ounce) packaged graham cracker pie crust
•

Glaze
• 2 (1 ounce) squares semisweet chocolate
• 1/4 cup whipping cream

first off, you want to remove any jewelry. rings, bracelets, long necklaces. secondly wash your hands!
next you'll want to preheat your oven to 350, i do mine to 365 because mine runs cold. make sure you have an inside the oven thermometer because you can't trust what the ovens computer says!

bring your mixer out, i personally own a stand mixer so this is very easy for me, and place the SOFTENED cream cheese in. whip for about 10 minutes at a medium setting. or until it looks similar to marshmallow fluff.
to soften cream cheese put in microwave for 15-20 seconds on high

once finished slowly add condensed milk. i add about 1/2 then 1/4 then the final 1/4. again mix on medium setting.
i suggest you try the condensed milk, it's like pure sugar.

add 3 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and one egg. mix well. i'd say a low setting.

as it's mixing i arranged the raspberries i used about 1 1/4 packed of 6oz packages, the recipe calls for 1 cup.

finally~ pour batter over raspberries slowly.
bake for 30-35 minutes or until set.
i had batter left over so i made two little cheese cake cakes. i baked them for 20 minutes at 350 as well.

DO NOT start glaze until AFTER cake is out of the oven and has been cooling for a long time or it is fully cooled. i wouldn't start until it is fully cooled.

in a small saucepan melt semi-sweet chocolate with whipping cream over low heat, cook and stir until thickened.
do not turn it up! low and slow is the way to go~

chill- and garnish and desired.

i know this is late- but you chill it over night so the glaze hardens.
take it out and garnish after about half an hour of chilling.
and then when i dropped it off at Sammy's house i ended up hanging out at her house for a lot of the night. then came home and went to sleep because i was so tired.
she said the cheesecake was delicious.

that is what i got today,
i have been self conscious about my teeth since... always.
even now after this i am wanting to go back for braces- you will understand in a moment when you see the pix.

before hand you want to brush/floss your teeth as well as you can. they do NOT clean your teeth before you get it unless you want to schedule and pay for that too.
and you also want to dress nicely. never go out without looking decent, you never know who you'll run in to.

except a old lady in her 90s that liked my shoes.

the proses is fairly simple, and not painful for me.
[though i have pain now. will explain later~]
they start by moisturizing your lips and putting a little sunscreen on your nose/around your mouth. followed by giving you true cotton mouth-
now i have never smoked weed, so i have never felt "cotton mouth" that way. but this cotton mouth wasn't so bad. it was a little dry but very easily bearable. i didn't mind it.
next they put liquid plastic on your gums, hiding any tissue that is not covered by the cotton.

they then harden it with a light to make it look like the above.
my mom was like "why do you want pix of this?" i was like "because it's important that i get laughed at >X"
i actually think i look pretty cool.

next they put a tooth conditioner on your teeth, followed by the whitening gel.
and then, finally, this has taken about an hour so far, you get the light.

it gets really hot but doesn't hurt. not for me at least. some people experience sensitivity during the proses.

for 15 i sat there with my arms in the air holding my iPod up so i could watch music videos,
then the light turns off and she takes off the whitening gel- reapplies the conditioner and gel- and the light is back on.
she repeats this one more time after the 15 minutes are up.
again another 15 minutes and i'm done~

i went up 7 shades, i am no longer a person with any shade of natural colored teeth.

i am very pleased.
you can see where my braces covered when i had them, but it should even out in the next few days.

another thing i am going to deal with for the next few days is- zingers.
a "zinger" is a jolt of pain that the cause is not really known. it just feels like a zap and then it is gone.
you don't know when it will come or why- it just does.

they said it should stop within the next couple of days.
or 4-6 hours.
it's not terrible.
but it does hurt.

road trips just aren't my thing -important info after calendar-

yesterday- i was on the road from 7:30am until 11:30pm
the reason i did not post then was because i spent the night in my old home with my dog, she lives at my dads house instead of my moms because my mom hates dogs.
but that's okay, it is a good house for her to be in. it will just be difficult to get used to because i wont be there 24/7.

anyway, i am here to tell you why you should not go on road trips.
the only reason- ever- that a road trip should be done is if you have 5 or more people going on the trip. otherwise it is more expensive to drive. gas prices are sky high, obviously.

there is always going to be road construction somewhere on your road trip, you cannot avoid it. our trip was made about an hour longer because of "construction", even though there was nothing. no workers. just a closed lane. it was the most ridiculous thing ever. i don't ever want to drive more than 5 hours ever again.
ever.

i had planned on driving to LA- that's gone. not a chance. i'll take a train or fly.

BUT I MUST SAY~
driving is much worse than RIDING. when i was just sitting in the back seat it was very nice and relaxing. very pretty scenery. i enjoyed seeing so many things.
the best part was driving through Chicago, even though the traffic was awful. it just made me think how much i really want to live in NYC.
LA for four years, NYC for the rest of my life.
mom will live in Paris, i will live in NYC, what a wonderful life.
